The opening prayer for worship defines the movement of today’s sermon. Lord God, from the farthest corners of the universe to the most tender place within our hearts Your Grace abounds with  energy and joy to every living creature. We praise you for the gift of Your sustaining Grace and ask that in this service Your Holy Spirit of wisdom would increase our deep relish of the power of Grace so that we may have confidence in every circumstance and in every need.  We pray in Jesus’s name.  Amen.

I was influenced by Meister Eckhart, a 13th century theologian and mystic. I recommend this book of poetic interpretations of his thought. “Meister Eckhart’s Book of the Heart: Meditations for the Restless Soul” by Jon M. Sweeney, Mark S. Burrows. Start reading it for free: https://a.co/1RstJDG

Lisa brings down to earth how the various dwellings in our lives teach us how much Jesus comes to dwell among us.
